Exploring Indiana Dunes National Park with Chevrolet
7:00 AMA few weeks ago, just in time for Memorial Day Weekend, the guys at Chevrolet let me borrow their All- New Chevy Blazer 2019. I decided to take advantage of this sporty crossover so I packed my things and drove it to Indiana Dunes National Park to enjoy their over 50 miles of rugged dunes, hiking trails, peaceful forest and sunny beach!
Indiana Dunes National Park is located in Northwestern Indiana only an hour and a half from Chicago! It definitely didn't feel we were on the car for that much. The Chevy Blazer really is a smooth ride and its interiors have a lot of extra legroom which is super important when you want to be comfy during long (and short) trips. We loved the ride so much that instead of jumping out of the car as soon as we got to the park, we decided to drive around to explore everything Indiana Dunes National Park had to offer.
First thing I noticed is that it's HUGE!!! Seriously, they gave us a map at the front entrance and it took me a minute to figure out where everything was. The park has 10 hiking trails, designated areas for biking, fishing & boating, 8 beaches, 5 locations with lots of picnic shelters and 2 camping sites, all right next to Lake Michigan. We definitely didn't expect to find that many things to do there, we were just planing to go hiking and spend some time laying down on the beach.
Had we decided to go camping, biking or kayaking the Chevy Blazer was the perfect car to take on this trip. It's cargo room (with the back seats folded) is roomy enough to fit our bikes or camping essentials, and if it wasn't enough, this crossover also has towing capacity of 4500 pounts! Do I need to say more?
I can keep talking about Indiana Dunes National park (or this truck) forever, but ill let the photos speak by themselves. I'm already planing my next visit there!
