A really Honest review of Whish Beauty Natural Skin Care

This post is sponsored by Whish Beauty, all the opinions are 100% my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that make The Color Palette possible.
Natural or Clean beauty products have been super popular for a while. I think at this point we all know what they are (products free parabens, sulfates, phthalates, DEA, TEA, and "harsh chemicals") and all of the reasons why we should consider going "Clean".
However it has taken me a while to warm up to the idea to "cheat on" my favorite (not clean) brands and beauty products to try a new brand that I've never heard about before. Slowly but surely I'm getting there because of a variety of reasons, maybe a friend recommended me a product SHE LOVES, or my favorite blogger doesn't stop talking about X brand, or even better the bran itself gifts me some products so I get to try them.... that's exactly what happened this time!
After diving into Whish beauty website and reading some reviews about the brand I jumped on the opportunity to try some of their products. F
irst of all let me tell you, they have EVERYTHING from skin care products like moisturizers and masks to body care products like self tanners and hair inhibitors. I'm definitely curious to try those but for the moment I decided to stick with skin care and incorporate some of their products on my nighttime beauty routine. It's been a few weeks since I started using all the products I received so here are my thoughts
Cleansing is my favorite step on my skin care routine. There's something super satisfying about seeing my makeup melt away and feeling my face extra clean. I swear by double cleansing and cleansing oils so I was super excited about this Cleansing Oil, sadly I didn't love it. Let's talk about the pros: It smells delicious , the scent is refreshing and sweet, the perfect start for a mini spa session at home. It definitely makes me look forward to getting home after work to use it! BUT is not as good as other cleansing oils I've used. It removes most of the makeup off but I still have to go in with another makeup remover right after. I need to say that I typically wear a full face of long-lasting waterproof/sweat proof, everything proof makeup and that may be the reason why this is not working 100% for me. If you usually wear less makeup or lighter foundation this will totally work for you.
Repairing Eye Serum
What caught my eye about this eye serum is that it contains BAKUCHIOL which is an edible 100% natural substitute for retinol without the redness, dryness or UV sensibility issues. This serum claims to reduce the appearance of fine lines, puffiness and firming the skin. Luckily for me I still don't have fine lines. I do occasionally get puffy eyes after a long night or when I don't get a good night sleep, both of those things had happened a lot lately and I'm happy to report that I haven't woken up with puffy eyes once. Other than that I also noticed that my under eye area looks much more brighter. I didn't have bad dark circles to begin with but the little bit of darkness I had is totally gone. I haven't wear concealer in a while!!
A face oil is totally a must for me. I always use one at night after my moisturizer. It gives me that extra boost of hydration and makes my skin glow the next morning. When I chose a face oil, I prefer the ones made mostly of natural oils. This one is a blend of everything : coconut, sesame, avocado, pomegranate, jojoba .... and the list goes on. Like the Repairing Eye Serum it also has Bakuchiol which is a nice bonus. We gotta keep those fine lines away! Compared with other face oils this one feels much more rich and silky but it doesn't feel greasy on the skin. The only thing I don't like about this oil is the smell, it's a little bit too sweet for my liking, nothing too bad that stops me from using it in the future, the price point however may make me think twice before getting it again. At $60 per bottle I'm not a big fan of the price.
I read once that a face oil should be the last step on your skin care routine since it pretty much will create a barrier on your skin that locks in the moisture but also if you use something else right after it probably won't work for the same reason. My nighttime skin care routine will typically end here , but these last couple weeks I've been adding an extra step (I saved the best for last)
Rose Hip + Lotus Firming Sleep Mask
Before using this I was dealing with a serious case of dryness and flaking skin on my chin, corners of my mouth and sides of the nose. It looked and feel terrible. I tried different products (mostly hydrating masks and a different day moisturizer) but nothing changed. One single night using this Rose Hip + Lotus Mask and my skin was already feeling and looking much better the next day. This product is truly a miracle in a jar and I'm obsessed. I have it on my nightstand and I use it 2 or 3 times a week right before I go to sleep which typically is 1 or 2 hours after I applied my face oil. Sometimes I just skip the face oil and apply the mask right after my moisturizer. The days I use it my skin looks amazing the next morning, the glow is real. This face mask is here to stay !
Compared with some high-end brands and other natural brands I do think the price point is just a little bit higher, and in my opinion the packaging doesn't look or feel expensive but the worth is on the results. My skin feels and looks really good. Besides repairing the dry areas on my face, some stubborn dark spots I have are finally fading out. I'm definitely purchasing the Sleep mask and the eye serum again!
