Tartelette "in bloom" Review & Swatches

7:00 AM

Hey guys, today I want to talk about the latest addition to my makeup collection. Tarte's Tartelette 2 in bloom. I've been looking for a matte palette for a while and after a lot of online research and 2 hours in sephora swatching palettes, I decided to get this one.

This palette comes with 12 colors, 9 mattes and 2 shimmers, all neutral colors that work wel in both light and darker skin tones. From nudes to dark browns, this palette has more than enough to create multiple looks. In my opinion this is a better option that the first Tartelette amazonian clay palette.

i love that all the eyeshadows are very pigmented and easy to blend with each other, but I found that they DO NOT blend as good if you use colors from another palette. Another thing I'm not thrilled about is that the shadows have so much fallout (as you can see in the picture below), specially the shimmery ones. I definitely recommend to do your eyes first when using this. Another thing I like about this palette ishow light the package is and the big mirror it has, both features that make it perfect for traveling.

SWATCHES

LEFT, from top to bottom: Firecracker (shimmer), Activist (matte), Funny girl (shimmer), Sweetheart (matte), Rebel (matte), Leader (matte)

RIGHT, from top to bottom : Charmer (matte) , Jetsetter (matte), Rocker (shimmer), Smokeshow (matte), Flower child (matte), Smarty pants (matte)

Overall I think this is a pretty good option if you're looking for a versatile neutral palette. You'll get a good variety of long-lasting eyeshadows, and good color payoff. For $45 I definitely think it worths the money. Buyt if you're not willing to spend that much, or you feel that don't need that many colors the tartelette tease  would be a better option for you.
