Eco-Friendly fashion with ONNO T-shirts

I didn't know shirts can be made from other than cotton until I stumble upon ONNO T-shirtsswebsite, an innovative company dedicated to create eco-friendly clothes made from sustainable materials like bamboo and hemp (yes, apparently you can make clothes with hemp).

The t-shirt I'm wearing today was made with 70% viscose from bamboo and 30% organic cotton, in case you didn't know (like I do before writing this post) bamboo is the fastest growing plant on the earth, it grows 2 in per hour so it takes it about 5 years to mature, that is extremely fast considering that other species that take 25 to 70 years to mature!. What I found very cool is that bamboo can be grown pretty much anywhere aside from the north and south poles, it can be grown on damaged soil and rain can be its only source of water. But my favorite part about clothing made with bamboo is that it is really really soft, and who doesn't need a soft and comfy t-shirt in their life?

Yo no sabía que las playeras podían hacerse de otra cosa que no fuera algodón hasta que encontré la tienda ONNO T-shirts, esta compañía se dedica a hacer ropa "eco-amigable" hecha de materiales sustentables como bamboo e incluso marihuana (si, asi como lo leen).

La playera que estoy usando hoy está hecha de 70% viscosa de bambú y 30% algodón orgánico, en caso de que no lo sepan (como yo antes de escribir esto) , el bambú es la planta que crece más rápido en el planeta, crece aproximadamente 2 pulgadas en una hora y le tome 5 años madurar completamente, eso es increíblemente rápido considerando que a la mayor parte de las especies les toma de 25 a 70 años madurar!! Lo que me pareció más interesante es que el bambú puede crecer en prácticamente cualquier parte del mundo (a excepción de los polos norte y sur), puede plantarse en tierra dañada y aun así cosechará, y no necesita ser regado ya que el agua de lluvia es suficiente. Mi parte favorita es que la ropa hecha con bambú es muy suavecita, y diganme quien no quiere tener una prenda super cómoda y suavecita en el guardarropa?
